Roofing Questions

Frequently Asked Questions About
Roofing Services

How long does a typical Project take?

Most roof replacements in the Aurora / Fox Valley area take 1–3 days once materials are on site. Larger homes, steep roofs, or full roof-plus-siding jobs can run longer. After your inspection we give you a written start date and a realistic finish window — not a vague “we’ll see.” Weather and insurance approvals are the usual variables, and we keep you posted if either changes the schedule.

Are you licensed and insured in my territory?

Reputable Roofing & Siding, LLC is a registered Illinois general contractor based in Aurora. We carry Are you licensed and insured in my territory? million per occurrence general liability. Roofing work is subcontracted to GR Construction Repair, Inc., Illinois Roofing License 104.019347. We pull permits where the city or county requires them and can send a certificate of insurance to you or your carrier before work starts.

What areas do you serve?

Reputable Roofing & Siding is based in Aurora and works across the Fox Valley, DuPage, Kane, Kendall, Will, southwest Cook, and Kankakee County. If your town is not listed, call 630-849-4548 — if it is hail, wind, or tree damage in Chicagoland, we will tell you straight whether we cover it.

Do you offer free estimates?

Yes. Roof, siding, and storm-damage inspections are free. We will walk the property, document the damage (including photos for insurance when needed), and leave you with a clear scope and price. No high-pressure close. If it is a small repair, we will say so. If the roof is failed, we will show you why.

Do you handle insurance or storm damage claims?

That is a large part of what we do — hail, wind, and fallen-tree damage on roofs, siding, gutters, and related exterior work. We inspect, document, and can meet your adjuster so the estimate matches what is actually damaged. We work with carriers every week in this market. You remain the policyholder; we do not take over your claim. You approve the work before anything comes off the roof.

What types of projects do you take on?

Residential and commercial roofing — asphalt shingle, storm repairs, and full replacements — plus vinyl and fiber-cement siding, gutters, trim, and insurance restoration after hail, wind, or tree impact. We also handle flashing, ventilation, fascia, and required permits. If it is the building envelope and storm-related, we do it. We do not take exterior restoration, carpet, or general handyman calls.
